										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is a well-established process for the separation and purification of a wide range of industrial gases. PSA is generally safe, reliable and cost effective. The PSA process works at basically constant temperature and uses the effect of alternating pressure and partial pressure to perform adsorption and desorption. Since heating or cooling is not required, cycle time can be short – in range of minutes. Heat is also not required for the regeneration of the adsorbent. Changes in temperature are caused only by the heat of adsorption and desorption and by depressurization. This results in an extremely long lifetime of the adsorbent material. A large range of flow and purity combinations can be met by adjusting the size of the air compressor and adsorption vessels containing the Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS). PSA can economically produce nitrogen gas at flowrates from less than 140 Nm³/h to greater than 1700 Nm³/h, and at purities ranging from 95% to 99.9995%.</p>
